OVERSTOCK.COM PHOTO SHOOT

I am lucky enough to have had Scott Davis shoot my house twice now - once for Fox Group Construction's portfolio, and the other time for Overstock.com.

It was quite the ordeal to have them come. We basically had to move out of our house for two days. They moved all of our furniture on the main floor into other rooms, but they were great to work with and really professional. They put everything back to its original place when it was all done, and it was like they were never there. Pretty impressive considering how much they had to move around. You can see for yourself in the photos.

I never actually saw this campaign, but Scott sent me his favorite photos from the shoot, (which turned out great). It was entertaining for me to see my home in a whole new light. It's amazing what different furnishings do to the same home.

Quite the change, right?!

EVERYONE DESERVES A PHOTO SHOOT

This post today is really off topic, but I wanted to thank my photographer, Emily Brown Photography, and my make-up artist, Lauren Fisher, for all the work they put into a photo shoot for me.

I felt really silly for having a photo shoot all by myself, but I love this photo of my Mom who died four years ago and I think it's important to have some nice photos of yourself for your family.

I've never had my make-up professionally done before for a photo, so this part was especially nice. Lauren is really good and so easy to work with. She applied fake eyelashes, which I loved. It made me want to get eyelash extensions.

Emily has a great studio with a lot of light and windows. I wish I had prepared a little better for the shoot - I wasn't very organized and I wished after that I brought some different clothes. Isn't that the hardest part?! What to wear...

I think we are going to do another shoot and I will prepare better. But with that said, I love the way the pictures turned out. And most importantly I felt really pampered and special that day. If you want a good gift for a birthday or mother's day, etc. a photo shoot like this would be perfect. Contact Emily Brown Photography and she can quote you a price on an individual shoot + makeup artist. It's really affordable and totally worth it!
