I think this is a Walnut finish, and I'm not sure about what type of wood it is, but I love it and I'm sure a flooring expert can match it. Right?!
One concern remains...do you think this stain is a little too dark and will show dust, dirt, etc.? Or do you think it's just light enough that it shouldn't show too much...

Hi- I'm a friend of Keri Cannon's and I came across your cute blog. I just wanted to give you a heads up about dark wood floors. I did a floor similar to this in my home. It was a pre-finished birch wood with a dark walnut stain. I LOVED how it looked but it seriously showed EVERYTHING. It's not too bad in the summer, but in the winter it was a nightmare. Every little spec of dirt/mud/salt/dust shows up. That being said, it does look really pretty when it's clean so i'd still choose it again.

Katie! Thank you so much for your comment - I was really wondering about how they show dirt/dust, etc. Now that I know I probably will go a shade or two lighter because I'm not the biggest fan of cleaning:)
