I found this photo - I'm not sure where - and it's the perfect inspiration for our basement great room. Right next to the sliding door to the outside/pool is a cement shelf that I will need to turn into a bench to make it look like it's supposed to be there.
I am wanting to do tile because people will be walking in from the outside wet and muddy from the pool and grass. I know it's not the softest surface to hang out on, but it might be the most practical option. And in this chevron pattern - it's way cute!
I like it! brick floor and simple molding would be timeless. also in the last post i love the tile backsplash. i like the tile in that bigger scale, i think it would make the space feel bigger too.
