My bench seat cushion came this morning! I took some quick pictures of it, but don't judge because I need to add pillows, etc. to finish the space off.
I love the fabric and I'm really happy with the comfort of the cushion. As with all cushions it needs a couple of days to settle into the space.
Now I just need to add pillows and some coral accents into my family room, since this is the first introduction of color to my predominately beige linen + white room.
I've been eying this console from Blu Dot for a long time. It's a lot more modern than the rest of my house, but that's why I like it, and that's why I'm hesitant. I think I might go for it and order it. It would tie the room together and I can put some great lamps on it and some pictures.
This console would go under my very large mirror...
Yes, that is my 3 year old daughter watching cartoons on the couch and sucking her thumb while her Mom blogs :)
So what do you think? Too risky to put such a modern console in such a traditional space?
No, I think the edge of the modern piece will be a great juxtaposition to the traditional elements. I've been itching to add a little modern pop to my house too. I love the cushion, fresh and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteNo I love it! Go for it!!!
ReplyDeleteI agree - go for it ! I really think it will look great - truly eclectic !
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely!!! Add to cart! :) Your cushion is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love it!!!!!
ReplyDeletePerfection! The fabric is gorgeous! If you had a scrap piece left , I would love to buy it? Your taste is impeccable. I say go for it on the watermelon table:)
ReplyDeleteI think it is perfect!
ReplyDeleteI love the cushioned bench window seat. I'd really love to ask your opinion on what to do with my kitchen eating area. I'd love a built in seat in my octagon shaped eating are.
ReplyDeleteSorry - I'm not loving the console table. It's just too modern for my tastes and I think that it would stand out too much and become a focal point in the room. If it were my house (don't I wish) I'd go for something more neutral like your couch and kitchen table and then add pop with accents and chachkies. JMO...
I love the combo! DO IT. I tried to convince my husband to buy the strut table for our dining room, but we went for a CB2 Blox table instead. I LOVE the pop of red. It'd look so classy together!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Just found your blog through Miranda (letterpress printer), she sent me a sample of some business cards she printed. I saw that you're located just blocks from where I grew up so I had to check out your blog. I love your style!
Thank you for your comment! I grew up by here as well and went to Olympus - I'm sure we have a lot of friends in common. And yes, Miranda did a great job on my business cards. She is so talented! Thanks for looking at my blog and commenting. Keep in touch!
DeleteWhat is the fabric on you sofa? I have scoured your blog and I can't find it. Please help.
ReplyDeleteAlso Love the table :)
The fabric on my sofa is from Silver State Textiles and its from their Nanotex line - called Fenton in Natural. This is by far my favorite fabric I've used in my house.
DeleteThanks so much for your reply.
ReplyDeleteYou have a lovely home and Blog.
Can you tell me about your shades? Manufacturer, fabric name, color, etc.....Love the fact that you didn't use the typical wooden blinds ;) Your house is stunning!
ReplyDeletewhere did you get the bench from? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThe bench is custom and built-in. Sorry I don't have a source for you!
DeleteJust wondering where the bench cushion was made and the fabric it was covered in
