FUN FINDS - TEENAGER AT HEART

TGIF. Seriously, this week has been fun but a bit crazy. This blog post is inspired by the conversation Marianne and I (Jamie) had recently pulling fabric samples. It went something like this.

Me: I love this
Marianne: That is so great for a teenage girl's room.
Me: I love this
Marianne: Wow that is PERFECT for a teenage girl's room.

Hahaha! I am always saying I should be the first designer to completely specialize in TEEN. I could call it Teenage Dream Design. Moving on from that tangent, even if Teenage Dream isn't your design aesthetic, don't overlook the youth-specific retailers for fun rugs, pillows and accessories. They can add a unique pop to your home for a good price. Here are some great finds from the kiddie lines.

LAND OF NOD

I love lamp.  Random Anchorman Reference Alert! I want a pair for our master bedroom. 

These would be so cute as reading lamps on nightstands or to clip onto your desk. Amazing finish!

 An ombre lamp? Say no more. Also comes in gorgeous green and purple.

I am way too excited about this sale. Last year I found some of my favorite accessories and furniture at the sale. Not to mention Caitlin Creer is a great friend and mentor to me and has impeccable taste so you know the sale is going to have fantastic things.

NAVY & WHITE BATHROOM LOVE

Hi everyone! Hope you had a great weekend. We have been working hard on our Avenues remodel trying to find lighting and finish up paint colors. It's really coming together and we can't wait to share the finished product someday soon. For the powder bath on the main floor, Marianne found amazing swing-arm sconces at ABC home for an awesome price and we wanted to do an interesting paint treatment without being too crazy for the investors in the project. We have been planning on doing just one large navy stripe around the walls. Sounds amazing right? The hardest part about design is trying to visualize how your idea will look in real life. If you ever run into me I swear that is why I am always squinting, somehow that helps me picture how the final product will look :). Anyway I was bumming around on Pinterest last night when I came across this image... drum roll please!

Isn't it lovely, I love the navy and white! It was so exciting to find this image so I know for sure that we will love the way the bathroom will turn out. Felt like a little gift from the universe.
